Tailwind-Gainesville established concessions operations at the Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) in April of 2009. Having recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation, airport management was looking for an established concessionaire to conduct reputable food, beverage, and retail operations. Tailwind was awarded the RFP bid after being selected as the best proposing concessionaire based on its solid business track record and its innovative use of airport facilities.
Tailwind maximized use of the new floor plan by constructing a combined full-service Restaurant/Bar and Gift Shop in one of the airport’s retail spaces, as well as a service counter complete with a wide variety of bar and coffee offerings along with a complete Gift Shop in another space. Catering for private jet operations as well as airport/community events is also available.
Tailwind’s operational footprint at the GNV airport consists of:
- Pre-Security: Full Service Restaurant/Bar and Gift Shop/News Stand
- Post-Security: Full Service Bar, Snack Shop, and Gift Shop/News Stand
