Tailwind-Shreveport began concession operations at the Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV) in November 2011. Having previously visited the facilities and observed that the current concessionaire was not taking advantage of the service potential of the airport’s patrons – and thus underperforming for the airport itself – Tailwind’s Executive Team approached the Airport Administration regarding a potential business partnership.
Engaging its architect to create professional renderings of concessions designs intended to optimize customer service delivery, Tailwind presented SHV with an outline for a concessions program complete with leading technology equipment and high-quality, innovative menu offerings custom designed to meet the needs of the airport’s patrons – including both travelers and community members alike.
Catering for private jet operations as well as airport/community events is also available.
Tailwind’s operational footprint at the SHV airport consists of:
- Pre-Security: Gift Shop/Newstand and Full Service Restaurant and Bar
- Post-Security: Full Service Restaurant and Bar in both terminals
